About Us

"A Taste Of Quo" are a South Wales based Status Quo Tribute band, featuring members of the highly regarded (but now sadly disbanded) "Strictly Quo".

Fronted by the ever popular Neil Waters (who has supported the likes of Iron Maiden, Europe & Budgie), the band largely consists of veterans of the pub & club scene, who know exactly what it takes to put on a great show!

The Band formed in September 2009, with three of the four members having played together since the early 90's in various cover and original bands. From 1996 to 2001, they were part of a Status Quo Tribute band "On The Level". In 2005 Neil fronted the popular "Strictly Quo" with many of the other members also being involved at some point!

With a set list bursting with sing-a-long classics such as "Rockin' All Over The World", "Whatever You Want", "Don't Stop" and "Something 'Bout You Baby I Like", audiences are all but guaranteed to have an enjoyable time when "A Taste Of Quo" take the stage!

With a passion to perform their beloved Status Quo's hits (along with equipment scalable to play at venues of any size!), "A Taste Of Quo" certainly prove that the party aint over yet!

Why Book Us?

If you're looking for for something a little bit different from the run of the mill cover bands for your venue, then a Taste Of Quo could be what you are looking for!

Status Quo are without doubt one of the most popular bands, with a fan base spanning across all age groups. Having their songs performed by an experienced and dedicated group such as Taste Of Quo certainly makes sense!

Our set list caters to the both the hardcore fan and casual audience member, we have a profesional attitude and what's more, we are good at what we do!

I Can't Wait For Christmas Day - Charity Single

Christmas Single 2010

In October 2010 band members Jonathan and Neil wrote and recorded a Christmas song to attempt to raise money for local Children's Hospice Ty Hafan.

The song was well received and deemed a "throwback" to classic festive releases by the likes of Slad & Wizzard.

After some initial problems with the release of the track, it would eventually be available for download on iTunes and Amazon, as well as being a streamable track on Spotify.

The song narrowly missed out on a place in the top 75,however there were a lot of other releases at the time with much bigger marketing budgets & campaigns (ours was zero!) that also didn't make it.

We had a great time promoting the track and hope that we helped to atleast raise a little bit of awareness for the Children's Hospice.
